Committee Members/Trustees
Drawing, lantern making, poetry, sculpture, painting, crafting, writing, ........Halewood Arts Association (HAA) has been working for the benefit of local people since 1994.
In that time they have initiated, supported, and promoted a wide range of artistic projects and workshops. HAA works across the board with a wide variety of individuals and groups including Halewood Community Spirit, Halewood Arts in Therapy, The Junior Artists Club, Halewood Town Council; Knowsley Open Spaces Dept; The Lantern Company; The Big Draw; MerseyRail; St Mary's Care Centre; KHT tenants; and many individuals.
We are looking for experienced, committed, local individuals who can oversee new projects; offer practical assistance to the volunteers; and share their expertise in Arts, Education, or Community based work.
The Committee meets every other month on a Thursday. The office is open usually on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 1pm to 4pm, provided we're not off delivering arts and craft sessions in the community.

Active Older People Workshop Assistant - Volunteer
Wednesdays 12.30 -3.00pm. Supporting the work of various artists delivering a range of arts & crafts sessions with the residents of Halewood Tower Blocks. Willing to help, get stuck in, try out new things, and develop skills.

Also to maintain a register of participants, gather comments on the success of the sessions and feedback to HAA.

To assist the artists and workshop leaders to deliver Arts & Crafts to 7-11 year olds.
No experience necessary
You do NOT need to be able to paint.

Volunteer assistant wanted to deal with emails, blogsite, filing, word processing, etc. Due to a grant from Eli Lilly we are now internet ready at our office. Working with the Project Co-ordinator you will keep the office up to date and ensure the work of the association is promoted through facebook, twitter, blogs, and other internet media.
